Marrying in this district
You give notice of marriage in person at the register office for the district where you have lived for the last 7 full days — which may not be this one, even if you marry here. In standard cases you then wait 28 days before the ceremony can take place.
Couples can choose ceremony rooms including the Register Office, Laurels, Willows or Cliffside at Bournemouth Civic Centre, or rooms at Poole Guildhall; register office ceremonies are for the couple and two witnesses only.
